Fishing boats seized for violations in Al Wusta

Muscat: Fish control teams have seized two fishing boats in Al Wusta Governorate for violating Marine law in the Sultanate of Oman.

The Directorate of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources said: "A fishing boat with a number of nylon nets and another boat with a migrant worker were seized while returning from fishing in the Wilayat of Mahout.”

"The nets were confiscated and the necessary legal measures will be taken against the violators after which they will be transferred to the Public Prosecution," the directorate added.
