In-country value forum explores supply chains in Oman

Muscat: The 3rd edition of the Oman In-Country Value (ICV) Forum, themed 'Laboratory of Localising Supply Chains' discussed localising supply chains, partnerships and cooperation with mega companies and entrepreneurs, as well as highlighting the costs of localising modern technologies.

The opening ceremony of the forum was held under the patronage of HH Sayyid Marwan Turki Al Said.
The chief guest said that the timing of the forum coincides with the transition of Oman and the world at large towards recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and the volatility of oil prices.

This, he added, is an important phase in building economic sectors and activities that are targeted by Oman Vision 2040 and the five-year plans for economic diversification.

The forum included several working papers that deal with many topics, namely recovering stability to boost local production and ICV and supporting national products.
