Relentlessly pioneering new technologies, the bank has fully embraced the digital transformation of banking and was first in the country to introduce self-service kiosks, a Merchant App specifically designed to serve micro and home businesses, and adopted QR codes as a form of payment on POS Machines.
In addition, NBO further expanded the payment options available to customers with its Badeel Prepaid Card which offers all of the advantages of banking with NBO without the need to open an account.
Most recently, NBO introduced digital onboarding which has made opening an account easier than ever as customers simply enter their details and select the type of account they wish to open through the award-winning NBO Mobile App and let the bank take care of the rest.
The multi-lingual NBO app also allows customers to instantly send funds of up to OMR 7,500 from their account using the bank’s digital remittance service available anywhere at any time.
