Muscat: The Oman Football Association (OFA) on Tuesday launched the first integrated national women's futsal team.
The OFA inaugurated today the first women’s futsal team, in the presence of the honourable Lujaina bint Mohsen Haider Darwish Al Zaabi, member of the board of directors of OFA, chairperson of the women’s football committee, and a number of members of the board of directors of the association, in addition to the players of the team and the technical and administrative staff.
During the inauguration, the team’s most important goals of its formation were revealed, and a short video was shown on how the team members were selected through the last league championship competitions, in addition to reviewing the most important upcoming competitions and important benefits of the women's national team.
“Honourable Lujaina Al-Zaabi expressed her thanks and great gratitude to the parties supporting the team, led by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth and the clubs that cooperated in organizing and participating in the Women’s Football League, which was organised by the Federation represented by the Women’s Football Department and thus contributed to the development and refinement of the players.”
