Oxy Oman Representatives Attend Closing Ceremony for Awtad 3D Printing Educational Program

Oxy Oman representatives recently attended the closing ceremony event for the company’s exclusively – sponsored “Awtad” 3D Printing Educational Program and competition. Awtad has trained teachers and 10th grade students in 3D printing technology, to help develop their skills in the field. The program is under the supervision of the Ministry of Education, and organized by InnoTech, an Omani SME in the 3D printing and technology field.

The closing event was held at the Ministry of Education under the auspices of H.E. Majid bin Said Al Bahri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and the attendance of Said Al Balushi, Senior Vice President Technical at Oxy Oman, along with senior representatives of the company.

The closing event celebrated the winning 3D projects created by the participating students as part of Awtad’s final 3D Printing Competition. Awtad held a series of practical workshops to engage  over 230 students, as well as teachers from across the country in designing and creating 3D printed products and objects. The program aims to create high level awareness of 3D printing across schools in the Sultanate, as well as its uses and benefits.
