Madayn magazine sheds light on projects in industrial estates

Muscat: The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) yesterday published the new edition of its quarterly e.magazine “Madayn”. It sheds light on the key developments, projects and the latest statistics of its various projects in the industrial estates of Madayn.

It also aims to acquaint investors,companies and individuals with the latest developments at Madayn. Said bin Abdullah Ambusaidi, General Manager of Mizah Marketing and Business Development Co. said that the new edition of Madayn e. magazine has seen remarkable development in terms of form and content. Attractive designs based on diagrams and colours have been applied to make the magazine much more attractive to readers, he added.

He said that the new edition of Madayn e. magazine comes at a time we are witnessing further growth at Madayn on various fronts starting with the remarkable increase in the number of projects established in the industrial cities and increase in the investment value and various projects launched by Madayn during the past period.

As such, we were keen to cope with such development in all spheres, he said, adding that the edition comprises several dialogues (interviews) and subjects reflecting more details on such developments.

He also pointed to the main interviews in the new edition of Madayn e. magazine with Hilal bin Hamad Al Hasani, Chief Executive Officer of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), in which he reaffirmed that Madayn is so close to establish project No. 2300.

He added that the local investments in all industrial estates have reached approximately OMR7 billion and that the Omanisation percentage exceeded 38 per cent out of the total workers in Madayn industrial cities.

This makes us employ some eight per cent of the total workers in the private sector at the Sultanate’s level, he added. The new edition also sheds light on the indicators of Madayn Vision 2040 which targets OMR15 billion investments of which OMR7.5 billion foreign investments and the same amount of local investments.

Madayn Vision 2040 targets reaching 270,000 workers. The Madayn e. magazine also tackles the digital transformation project and how the project came in consistent with the e. government efforts and how the digital transformation strategy of Madayn could achieve objectives such as the establishment of digital environment attractive to investments and supportive to industry.

The edition also sheds light on the relative benefits and facilities offered by Madayn in investment complexes.

The edition tackles the Omani Products Exhibition in Egypt and the great opportunity it provides for establishments and individuals in both the countries.

The edition also deals with Souq Madayn Platform which came within the care and attention the Government of Oman accorded for digital transformation programmes. The edition also covers a number of key news and events in Madayn including the receiving of 325 investment applications by Madayn, last year, and development of five new industrial cities among other issues.
