Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Monday held a round of official talks with President Dr. Ebrahim Raisi of the Islamic Republic of Iran at Al Alam Palace.
The talks explored various aspects of bilateral cooperation and ways of enhancing the strong ties binding the peoples of Oman and Iran. The aim is to exchange views about issues of common concern.
The official talks session was attended from the Omani side by His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, His Highness Sayyid Asa'ad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, His Highness Sayyid Taimour bin Asa’ad Al Said, Chairman of the Central Bank of Oman’s Board of Governors, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'mani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Oufi, Head of the Private Office, Dr. Mohammed bin Hamad Al Rumhy, Minister of Energy and Minerals, Eng. Said bin Hamoud Al Ma’awali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (Head of the Mission of Honour), Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Ibrahim bin Ahmed Al Muaini, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
It was attended from the Iranian side by Dr. Hossein Amir Abdollaian, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Brigadier Mohammed Reza Gharaei, Minister of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics, Sayed Reza Fatemi Amin, Minister of Industry, Minerals and Trade, Rostam Qasemi, Minister of Transport and Urban Development, Javad Oji, Minister of Oil, Ali Salehabadi, Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Gholam-Hossein Esmaeili, Head of the Presidential Office, Ali Najafi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Sultanate of Oman, Abbas Moghtadaei, Deputy Chairman of the Parliament, Head of the Oman-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Committee and several Iranian officials.
Then, His Majesty the Sultan and President Raisi held a closed-door session.
This session was attended from the Omani side by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Oufi, Head of the Private Office, Ibrahim bin Ahmed Al Muaini, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Islamic Republic of Iran. It was attended from the Iranian side by Dr. Hossein Amir Abdollaian, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Jamshidi, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Political Affairs and Ali Najafi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Sultanate of Oman.
