Oman crime: African expat woman arrested for arson, murder

Muscat: An African woman has been arrested for burning a citizen alive in Khaboura, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) announced.
“The Department of Criminal Investigation at Al Khaboura police station led by the police of North Batinah arrested a woman of African nationality on charges of arson and murder,” the Royal Oman Police said in a statement.
Set ablaze
An official source at the Royal Oman Police said: “The defendant locked the victim in room and escaped after setting ablaze the house. The case is still under investigation.”
An Omani and his Egyptian stepmother were arrested for killing an elderly man in Sohar, the ROP said on Monday.
“The two suspects were arrested for murdering an elderly man in Sohar, the alleged murderers buried the victim’s body in Saham, to cover the crime,” ROP said.
