Muscat: Muscat Municipality has commenced phase one of the works of Golden Jubilee Walkway Project.
The project is located in the Wilayat of Seeb and covers a total area of 84,400 square metres.
The project aimed to boost physical health and to meet the needs of the population at the adjacent and other areas.
The project is located at an area surrounded by residential districts, commercial establishments and famous landmarks.
The phase I of the project includes construction of a walkway for the length of 1,972 metres, the width of 5 to 6.5 metres and a track for bicycles for the same length and a width of 3 metres, adjacent to the walkway.
The project comprises construction of three yards for relaxation , shades, rest areas, coffee shops and entertainment facilities, which would be established by local companies for investment.
The project would also enjoy a green area of 38,250 square metres.
The project would also see establishment of two sites for sports equipped with physical sports machines and two areas for children games/rides, 75 shades at different areas and 140 parking lots among other facilities.
The project is expected to be completed by April 2023.
