Muscat: Oman's national hockey team will compete in the qualifiers for the Asian Games, which is being hosted by Thailand in Bangkok, from 6 to 15 May, Oman News Agency (ONA), said.
"Our team played its first match with the Kazakh national team and ended with a victory 3-0 for Oman. In the second match, our team defeated Hong Kong 5/1," ONA said.
Oman's Hockey team is the most prominent candidate for the qualifying tournament title. It is seeking to achieve first place after continuous preparation for the tournament since the beginning of this year.
The team will also participate this month in the Asian Cup finals to be held in Jakarta, which is a great opportunity to achieve an advanced position and improve the global and continental rankings.
