Indian Rupee – Omani Rial reaches highest ever exchange rate

Muscat: Indian nationals in Oman who want to exchange their Omani Rials to Indian Rupees to send to their friends and families back home can now earn more than INR 200 for a single Omani Rial.

The INR exchange rate for the Omani Rial crossed the 200 Rupee mark on Monday morning, with online currency converter XE valuing one Rial at INR 201.5.

“The current exchange rate between the Omani Rial and Indian Rupee is the highest we have ever seen,” said an official from an exchange house in Muscat. “We were offering morning exchange rates of INR 200.5 per Omani Rial.

“The actual rate this afternoon went up slightly, so tomorrow, the exchange rate we offer to customers might be even higher,” he added.
