Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has recruited a new batch of citizens who have completed the evaluation and admission procedures.
"Today, Monday, a new batch of male and female citizens who hold a general education diploma, who have completed evaluation and acceptance procedures, joined the Royal Oman Police as part of the efforts made by the Royal Oman Police to recruit Omani cadres in coordination with the Ministry of Labour, " ROP said in a statement.
According to the approved training programme, new recruits will enroll in the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences, where male citizens will receive training at the new police institute, while female citizens enrolled in the Women Police Institute will be trained in a typical training environment by a specialised training cadre from the women police.
The training programme includes training in the military, academic and legal fields, in addition to practical application, with the aim of qualifying the affiliates to carry out the police tasks assigned to them.
