Muscat: The final of Pran Frooto Cricket Tournament was held on 28 April 2022. In an exciting final, Ayan International defeated Friendly Stars by 43 runs and won the Pran Frooto Ramadan Cricket Tournament organised by Al Hail Cricket Team.
In the match, Ayan Xl captain Z Haider won the toss and elected to bat first. Ayan Xl went on to score 85 runs in the stipulated eight overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Haider top scored with 31 runs with other useful contributions came from Nasir Siddiq 27 runs and Shafeeq 9 runs.
For Friendly Stars, Bilal took 3 wickets giving away 22 runs. In reply, Friendly Stars could score only 42 runs in 8 overs losing 2 wickets. Bilal was the top scorer with 20 runs while Irfan from Ayan Xl was the pick of the bowlers.
Zulqarnain Haider of Ayan International was declared man of the tournament as well as the best batsman.
SK Firoz Ahamed, Marketing & Business Development Manager of PRAN Food Oman presided over as the chief guest and Doshambe Al Balushi, Ismail, Waleed and Khalid Al Balushi, senior board member of Al Hail were also present at the award ceremony.
