Signs of early Khareef in Salalah

Muscat: With rains in Dhofar governorate, there are signs of early Khareef season in Salalah this year. With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions worldwide, there are expectations of an increase in the number of tourists from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman.

The signs of the autumn weather in Salalah are visible with green cover on the mountainous areas , marking the entry of the Khareef Salalah. The Khareef season is accompanied by rain, drop in temperature and thick fog covering the mountainous region.

The Sultanate expects an increase in the number of tourists in the Dhofar region from GCC and Arab countries after easing of COVID-19 restrictions .
