InterContinental Muscat continues to give back to community during holy month

Muscat: The iconic InterContinental Muscat, managed by IHG Hotels& Resorts and owned by Omran, continued its humanitarian role towards the community by celebrating the holy month of Ramadan by distributing food packages to the less fortunate segment of society. This initiative is part of the hotel's CSR initiatives and was partnered with Nidaa Charity Group.

To support the less privileged families to prepare for the month of Ramadan, the iconic hotel distributed food packages filled with essential foods including but not limited to rice, oil, milk, sugar etc. This initiative is also to encourage employee volunteerism and raise awareness about the benefits of giving back to society such as strengthening employee morale, building a more positive and productive work environment, and helping those in need.

Anna Marie Dowling, Area General Manager, IHG Oman said, “InterContinental Muscat has always been there to support our local community in Ramadan and this year once again for the second year running we prepared boxes of food for the needy families and are delighted once again to be supporting our nominated Nidaa charity group to help those less fortunate than ourselves.”

This year, InterContinental Muscat guests was able to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan at Musandam Restaurant which boasted an Arabic iftar buffet with mouthwatering dishes and traditional Oud music played by the skilled Omani talent. A special Suhoor meal served with fresh juices at the newly opened Mynah’s Edge Restaurant and also a Qaranqasho party that was an unforgettable experience for kids.
