Muscat: The General Administration of Prisons organised Ramadan cultural and sports competitions for the inmates of the central prison, which included various activities aimed at instilling positive religious and moral values.
The Royal Oman Police (ROP) said: “The General Administration of Prisons concluded the Ramadan cultural and sports competitions for the inmates of the central prison, organised during the holy month of Ramadan under the patronage of Colonel Ali bin Hassan Al Balushi, Director General of Prisons.”
The events included a variety of activities, including memorising the Noble Qur’an and hadiths, poetry, religious chanting, drawing, painting, cultural competitions, as well as sports activities.
The holding of Ramadan activities for the inmates of the central prison comes as part of the spirit of the holy month, with the aim of instilling positive religious and moral values.
