OMR 500 fine imposed on establishment in South Al Batinah

Muscat: A fine of OMR 500 has been imposed on a commercial establishment in the Wilayat of Rustaq in South Al Batinah Governorate for making furniture from used wood.

"Rustaq Consumer Protection Department raided a commercial establishment that uses used wood in the furniture industry and imposed an administrative fine of OMR 500 on it in accordance with Article (47) of the executive regulations of the Consumer Protection Law," Consumer Protection Authority (CPA), said in a statement.
