Khimji Ramdas organises its annual blood donation drive

Muscat: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, the Khimji Ramdas Group (KR) recently organised its annual Ramadan blood donation drive at the Indian Embassy in association with the Ministry of Health. The KR Group employees took part in the annual campaign held with necessary Covid precautions.

Thanking all those who participated in the voluntary blood donation drive Anil Khimji, Director, Khimji Ramdas Group mentioned: “Giving blood is a noble and important practice, and we at Khimji Ramdas through our employees and their families have been supporting this cause for more than four decades, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. We appreciate the efforts of the team from the Blood Bank of Oman and the Ministry of Health, notably their work to ensure sufficient blood supplies to save lives in the time of need.”

Khimji Ramdas blood donation drive was conducted in strict accordance with the authorities' Covid-19 safety requirements, which included maintaining social distance, wearing masks, and sanitizing the facilities before and throughout the drive. All details related to vaccination, travel history, and medical screening were documented before the blood donation process.

The number of people who volunteer to donate blood has grown steadily year on year, largely through the commitment of  employees, their family members, and friends. It reflects the spirit of volunteerism displayed by all participants.

The Khimji Ramdas Group has consistently contributed to community-based projects, and the blood donation drive is yet another way for the organization to show support to causes that matter.
