Thunderstorms predicted in parts of Oman

Muscat: Parts of Al Hajar Mountains may witness thunderstorms on Sunday.

"Cloudy activity and chances of scattered rain accompanied with thunderstorms are likely over the middle and eastern Al Hajar Mountains during the afternoon, and may extend to the coasts during the evening," Oman Meteorology said in a statement.

The Meteorology Department confirmed that the wave height will continue from medium to rough reaching 2-2.5 metres on the coasts of Musandam Governorate, and average waves reaching 2 metres on the rest of the coasts of the Sultanate of Oman, starting from this evening until tomorrow.
