Passenger numbers rise 89% at Salalah Airport
Oman Airports have implemented all precautionary measures issued by the departments concerned.

SALALAH: Salalah Airport has achieved a rise of 89 per cent in the number of passengers arriving in the Sultanate in the first quarter of 2022.

Also, there has been an increase in passengers departing from the Sultanate by 72 per cent compared to the same period of last year.

Salim Awadh Al Yafiei, Executive Vice President Salalah Airport said that Oman Airports have implemented all precautionary measures issued by the departments concerned.

Salalah Airport would receive on 29 April the first direct flight of Wizz Air from Abu Dhabi at 14 flights a week, mainly during the Khareef Salalah. Gulf Air would operate two flights a week from 28 June to 29 September 2022 from Bahrain besides operation of 5 flights a week from Kuwait, three flights a week for Flynas from 2nd June to 30 August from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he said.
