Three arrested for impersonation, theft

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has arrested three persons involved in a scam in which they would pose as a government employee and for coercive theft.

ROP reported that the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations was able to arrest three people on charges of impersonating a government employee and coercive robbery after they falsely arrested victims and forced them to hand over the sums of money they had in their possession. The case is under legal proceedings.
