Banks in Oman witness an increase in loans

Muscat: Total loans and financing in commercial banks in the Sultanate of Oman increased to more than OMR 27 billion, compared to OMR 26 billion during the same period in 2021.

According to statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information, the total loans and financing of commercial banks in Oman increased by 3.9 per cent at the end of last January to reach OMR 27.951800 billion, compared to OMR 26,890,200 billion during the same period in 2021, and the average interest rate on total loans increased by 0.1 per cent."
