Muscat: The Royal Oman Police has made several arrests of expats across the Sultanate of Oman. It has arrested four foreign nationals and thwarted the smuggling of more than 150 kilograms of narcotics in North Al Batinah. Two other expats have also been arrested for theft in Al Dhahirah Governorate.
ROP reported that Al Dhahirah Governorate Police Command, in cooperation with the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations in the Governorates of Muscat and Al Dakhiliyah , arrested two foreign nationals on charges of violating the sanctity of a house and theft. The accused broke into a house in Al Dhahirah Governorate, threatened the owner of the house, stole her vehicle, wallet, and mobile phone and fled after committing the act. The legal procedures are being completed against them.

ROP said: “The North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command, in cooperation with the Coast Guard Police boats and the Royal Air Force of Oman, thwarted the smuggling of more than 150 kilograms of narcotics by four foreign nationals in partnership with an international gang. Two suspects were arrested on the beach with the smuggled drugs in their possession. The arrest of the other accused at sea after controlling the smuggling boat. “
The amount of narcotics seized in the case amounted to 121 kilograms of hashish, 33 kilograms of crystal and 10 kilograms of morphine, in addition to 14,6850 tablets of psychotropic substances.
Legal procedures will be completed against them.
