Oman's Ministry of Education organises special exhibition for people with disabilities
Titled “For You We Create”, the exhibition was held to celebrate the World Autism Day.

Muscat:  An exhibition of educational material for the people with disabilities was organised here  by  the Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General of Special Education and Continuing Learning, in cooperation with the Directorate-General of Private Schools and the Educational Departments of the governorates of Muscat, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, North Al Sharqiyah, and South Al Sharqiyah; and the International Schools Office.

Titled “For You We Create”, the exhibition was held to celebrate the World Autism Day, which falls on April 2nd each year, under the patronage of Majid Al Bahri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs, in the presence of Dr. Fathia Al Saddi, Director General of the Directorate-General of Special Education and Continuing Learning, and specialists in special education for people with disabilities from the Ministry’s General Office and from the Governorates.The exhibition was held at the lobby of the Ministry’s main building.

The exhibition included fifteen corners of joint educational materials between public, private and international schools in the field of people with disabilities, representing models, panels, and educational and electronic bags for the categories of “learning difficulties, intellectual disability, hearing impairment, and autism spectrum disorder”.  The exhibition aimed to highlight the role and importance of educational materials in the educational process, and to shed light on the services provided by the Ministry of Education in the field of people with disabilities.

The Director General of Special Education and Continuing Learning said: “This exhibition contributes to the exchange of experiences and information between specialists in the field of people with disabilities, and to see the means and methods of teaching, and how to present them in an interesting and attractive way to achieve the goals in teaching this group of students during the educational process through the presentation and explanation provided by exhibitors; how to produce the material, how to use it, and what the results of its use with students with disabilities.”
