Rock collapse: Death toll rises to 13

Muscat: Rescue teams managed to retrieve two bodies from under the rock debris, and efforts are continuing for the seventh day to find the last missing person among the 14 people.

The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority said: "The search operations yesterday resulted in the recovery of the bodies of two people from under the rubble at the site of the rockslide in Al Dhahirah Governorate. Meanwhile, efforts are still continuing to find the last missing person."

Since the rock collapse occurred in a mountainous site in Al Dhahirah Governorate, CDAA announced the bodies of 13 people had been recovered, and the teams had managed to rescue five others.
