Ramadan: Here are the official working hours announced so far

Muscat: Ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, ministries, government authorities, private and public institutions have announced the official working hours across the Sultanate of Oman.

Following are the announcements:

The Royal Oman Police (ROP)

ROP reported that the official working hours during the holy month of Ramadan in the various formations of the Royal Oman Police that operate in the official work system will be from 8:30 am until 1:30 pm from Sunday to Thursday.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources (MAFWR)

"In the context of the interest of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources to provide preventive and curative services to the customers, it was decided that the official working hours in all veterinary clinics of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources during the blessed month of Ramadan will be from 7:30 am until 12:30 pm, " the Ministry said in a statement. 

Ministry of Labour (MOL)

It was decided that official working hours at units of the State's Administrative Apparatus and other legal entities during the Holy Month of Ramadan for 1443 AH will be from 9 am to 2 pm.

Meanwhile, working hours at the private sector's companies and establishments for Muslims during the Holy Month of Ramadan will be reduced to six hours per day, equivalent to (30) hours per week.
