Muscat: On Tuesday, several new dengue cases were registered across the Sultanate of Oman. 

According to Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Saeedi, Minister of Health, “Yesterday (Tuesday), the number of registered cases of dengue fever reached 17 in the Wilayat of Bausher , 7 in the Wilayat of Seeb, and two in the Wilayat of Amerat.”

He said this during a press conference by the Supreme Committee to combat Covid-19, held on Wednesday.

Dr. Al Saeedi added, “We appeal to all to get rid of stagnant water bodies in their homes to prevent creating breeding grounds for the Aedes aegypti mosquito.”
