bp Oman, Youth Sada launch fourth cycle of Centre’s programmes

In partnership with bp Oman, Youth Sada launched the fourth cycle of the Youth Sada Centre programmes. It aims to develop and incubate a group of initiatives in the Ad’Dhahirah Governorate through series of activities and forums for a duration of 10 months.

The Youth Sada Centre’s programmes focus on four main activities which include the Youth Initiative Incubation programme, the Exchange Forum, Youth Council Initiative and the main training courses.  This social investment programme managed by bp is continuously benefiting communities with the contribution of our Block 61 partners. Block 61 is operated by bp in partnership with OQ, PTTEP, and PETRONAS.

The Youth Initiative Incubation programme will incubate 10 initiatives from the Ad’Dhahirah region and provide them with training, consultations, logistics, monthly workshops, marketing and administrative services.

Shamsa Al-Rawahi, bp Oman social investment manager, commented: “The Youth Sada Centre initiatives are essential to the society as they encourage community work within the region, through a range of sustainable initiatives and ideas. Furthermore, this also equips our youth and trains them to deliver projects independently and professionally.”

The Youth Council Initiative will host national and gulf-based initiatives in a forum where each group will present their trials and experiences and allow for collaborations and partnerships between different initiatives to take place. As for the Exchange Forum initiative, it is a quarterly event that will gather youth groups to highlight and discuss key social issues.

Suleiman Al Maqrashi, Project Manager at Youth Sada, added: “The Youth Sada Centre plays an important role in enhancing the initiatives around the Ad’Dhahirah region. This was evident through the outcomes from the last three cycles of the programmes, which showed that a total of 30 initiatives benefited directly and 10 benefited in-directly. This allowed the sustainable social projects to thrive, contributing greatly towards increased community work over the last three years.
