Muscat International Airport to conduct security drill

Muscat: Passengers travelling through the Muscat International Airport between Monday and Wednesday will see several security vehicles and personnel moving around as part of a training module scheduled at the airport, Oman Airports said on Sunday.

The training module will begin on 28 March and end on 30 March, a statement said.

“Please note that there will be a movement of security vehicles to and from the airport during this period. Oman Airports confirms that all necessary preparations have been taken to ensure that airport operations and traffic in the area of the airport are not affected,” a statement by Oman Airports said.

The aim of this security training is to ensure readiness and implementation of procedures followed by airports across the world.
