Muscat:  Around 1,000 kg of fish were confiscated and seven health violations issued against street vendors in the Wilayat of Seeb in Muscat Governorate, Muscat Municipality said.

A statement issued online by Muscat Municipality said: "The Municipality of Muscat in Seeb confiscated nearly 1,000 kg of fish and issued seven health violations against street vendors. These measures come after receiving repeated reports about the spread of vendors in the areas of Sur Al Hadid and Hail, who display fish for sale in the streets, without taking into account the healthy environment needed for the circulation and display of these food items."
