Muscat: The Sultan’s Special Force (SSF) on Tuesday celebrated its annual day during a ceremony held under the patronage of Gen. Sultan Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office, Head of the Office of the Supreme Commander.
Upon the chief guest’s arrival at the military exercise site, Gen. Al Nu’amani was received by Maj.Gen Musallam Mohammed Ja’aboub, SSF Commander.
Gen. Al Nu’amani pinned medals of excellent service and royal commendation on a number of SSF commissioned and non-commissioned officers.
The chief guest was briefed on the stages of the practical demonstration.
Then, the SSF units implemented a live-fire exercise (LFX). The exercise reflected the operational readiness and the level of combat efficiency of the SSF personnel.
On the occasion, SSF Commander pinned special service, long service and good conduct medals on a number of SSF commissioned and non-commissioned officers.
The ceremony was attended by SSF senior officers and retired senior officers. -ONA
