Muscat: The national hockey team of the Sultanate of Oman beat Iran 10-2 on Saturday, day 2 of the Mens Asian Hockey Federation Cup being held in Jakarta.
Oman began its campaign with its first match against Iran on Saturday. The Iranian team had previously won its first match of the tournament by beating Singapore 2-1 on Friday.
Oman is one of the favourites to win the competition as the team is one of the highest ranked competing teams in this competition, with a global rank of 26.
