Muscat: A Dutch photographer documented the beginning of the renaissance in the Sultanate of Oman during the period 1970 -1974 with exceptional photographs.
The Dutch photographer, Eric van, was able to document the beginnings of the renaissance in the Sultanate of Oman during the period 1970 -1974 with exceptional photographs. He recently decided to present these photos as a gift to the Sultanate of Oman, as they are an important stage of modern Omani history.
Eric Van told Oman News Agency (ONA) : "What prompted me to submit these photos to the Sultanate of Oman is my great love for this country and admiration for the beauty of its nature."
Adding that he visited the Sultanate of Oman for the second time in the nineties to photograph some areas, which he recently published in his book entitled "Oman's Past and Present" in a comparative study.
He added, "During the four years I spent in the Sultanate of Oman, I was able to document many scenes, features and various details in the various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman that reflect the social, cultural and human reality."
He pointed out that geographical, geological and topographical diversity have contributed greatly to enriching the diversity that characterises Oman and its people.
