Arab Heritage Man Award for Al Rowas

Muscat: With the blessings of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed Al Rowas, His Majesty the Sultan’s Advisor for Cultural Affairs, received in his office yesterday Chairman and members of the Arab Centre for Tourism Information (ACTM) in the presence of a number of pioneers in the Omani and Arab media to honour him with the Arab Heritage Man Award for 2017.
He accepted the award, expressing his thanks to the ACTM for its efforts in serving tourism communication and highlighting the Arab heritage treasures in various Arab countries. Al Rowas expressed his thanks and appreciation to ACTM for selecting him to obtain the Arab Heritage Man Award for 2017, pointing out that this honour comes as a result of the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and the unity of the Omani people since the blessed Renaissance.
Dr. Sultan Al Yahyaee, Chairman of ACTM said that the Centre, which is about to mark its 10th anniversary, has organised dozens of activities and events that have achieved a prestigious position in the Arab countries at various levels of official, institutional and public in both media and tourism.
He added that the centre and through its 15 branches in various Arab countries has raised awareness with the tourism potential of the Arab countries and the capabilities available in them to activate the Arab tourism and provide a positive image through various influential media outlets.
The meeting discussed means of activating tourism and heritage media and the development of inter-Arab tourism between the different countries of the Arab world, as well as the importance of media role in promoting the tourism sector.
