Expat arrested for stealing from commercial stores in Oman

Muscat: An expat has been arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) for stealing from commercial stores in North Al Batinah Governorate.

"The North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested an expatriate on charges of theft from commercial stores. After investigation, it became clear that the accused was among the whistleblowers who reported that their stores were being robbed in order to remove the suspicion from him. The stolen amounts were seized from his place of residence," ROP said in a statement.
