Bank Sohar appoints new executive management members

Muscat: Bank Sohar continues to invest in the capacities and growth of its top management, with the recent appointment of a new Head of Investment—Gigi Tharian Varghese and a Unit Head for its Project Finance and Syndication Department—Srinivasa Rao Edupalli.
Both appointees are highly experienced in their respective fields of specialisation in the banking and financial sector and have extensive expertise gathered from some of most reputed financial organisations in India, Oman and abroad.

Varghese is a senior investment professional, with over 10 years of experience in the industry. He joins Bank Sohar from his recently held position as Senior Investment Specialist at the Diwan of Royal Court Pension Fund. He is a CFA Level 2 Candidate, USA and hold an MBA degree from Pune University, Pune, India where he majored in Finance.
Edupalli has over 20 years of experience in banking and finance from leading banks in India. His previously held position was at IDBI Bank as a Deputy General Manager.
Edupalli’s special training includes Credit Review and Monitoring from ABIRD, India and Training in Core Banking from IDRBT, India.
