Covid-19: Supreme Committee issues new decisions for Oman

Muscat: The Supreme Commmittee to deal with Covid-19 has issued a new set of decisions for the Sultanate, the Oman News Agency said. 

The decisions are:

1. Entry into Oman will be allowed for those fully vaccinated without the need for a PCR examination report from March 1, 2022. 

2. Face masks will be mandatory only in closed spaces and optional outdoors from March 1, 2022. 

3. Hotels have been allowed to operate at 100 per cent of capacity from March 1, 2022.

In addition, the Committee also recommended the resumption of in-person classes at 100 per cent capacity at all educational institutions. These classes would be held with all precautionary measures in place and would begin from March 6, 2022. The committee also said halls, tents, international and local conferences and exhibitions, as well as other mass attendance events could be held with 70 per cent capacity, provided that all approved preventive measures and requirements are applied.
