The Zubair Corporation Organises Second Human Resources Forum

Muscat: The Zubair Corporation recently conducted its second Human Resources Forum, which aims to empower human capital by promoting constructive communication between the various Human Resources departments of the Group. The second edition of the HR forum is in cooperation with the Public Authority for Social Insurance and saw the presence of several legal specialists from the Authority alongside various members of the institution’s senior management and the Heads of Human Resources from the Zubair Corporation’s group companies.

The forum witnessed the launch of a programme called ‘Employee Benefits’, which aims to provide a range of services and special offers for employees and is within the framework of the organisation's interest towards its staff. This programme is one of the main pillars of the Group’s strategy in managing and developing human resources across all group companies.

Commenting on the forum, Hilal Omar Al Siyabi, Chief Corporate Services Officer at The Zubair Corporation, said, “The first human resources forum at The Zubair Corporation and its group of subsidiaries has been the cornerstone for empowering human capital by promoting constructive communications between the various human resources departments of the group. The results of the first forum contributed significantly to several decisions that were taken since the meeting with the stakeholders from the Public Authority for Social Insurance touched base on the outcomes of the first forum. In addition, the launch of employee benefits was also highlighted, which is on the verge of termination based unified work legally, administratively and financially and is in accordance with the policies of the Corporation and its group of subsidiaries.”

Mazin Abdullah Al Tobi, Head of the Inspection Department for Work Injuries and Occupational Diseases at the Public Authority for Social Insurance said, “First and foremost, we would like to thank The Zubair Corporation for the opportunity to talk about the social security law with the Group’s human resources managers. We believe that this will enhance the insurance culture and knowledge of human resources employees by having knowledge of the social insurance law. I was pleased to participate in the session and to respond to many inquiries from human resources managers at The Zubair Corporation and its subsidiaries, which shed light on a number of issues and matters related to the employee’s relationship with the Public Authority for Social Insurance.”

The forum highlighted the rights of employees in the social insurance sector. The Heads of Human Resources asked many questions and inquiries about the rights and duties of the employee and other matters related to the insurance sector. The forum concluded with a discussion session that included providing suggestions from the participants, which aims to develop cooperation between human resources departments.

The Human Resources Department at the Zubair Corporation is constantly working on designing and launching specialised initiatives and programmes aimed at developing human capital in the group's companies. The first forum witnessed the launch of the ‘Himma’ programme, which seeks to empower Omani competencies in The Zubair Corporation and its subsidiaries. This programme is considered one of the main pillars of the corporation's strategy in managing and developing human resources in all group companies.
