Ship crew member airlifted to hospital in Oman

Muscat: The Royal Air Force of Oman carried out a medical evacuation at sea for one of the crew of a transiting merchant ship, the plane transported the patient to Masirah Hospital.

The Ministry of Defence said in a statement: “One of the helicopters of the Royal Air Force of Oman carried out a medical evacuation at sea for one of the crew of a transiting merchant ship.  The chopper transported the patient, who was in a critical condition, from the ship to Masirah Hospital in the Al Sharqiyah Governorate to receive the necessary specialised treatment.”
