Oman weather alert: Dust storm warning issued

Muscat: Oman Meteorology has warned people of dust storms and decrease in the level of horizontal visibility due to the northwesterly winds on the desert areas of Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah and Al Wusta  governorates.

"Currently the activity of northwesterly winds on the desert areas of Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah and Al Wusta has reached about 25 knots, which led to the rise of dust and a decrease in the level of horizontal visibility in some places," Oman Meteorology said in a statement.
