Muscat: After an eventful stay in the Sultanate of Oman for 41 years, Navneet Kasbekar, the current CEO of Al Suwadi Power Company (ASPC), is retiring on March 15, after having worked in the power sector for over 21 years out of which 7 years were as the CEO of ASPC.
His career, after becoming Chartered Accountant, has spanned for 44 years out of which over 31 years has been in a general managerial position in Oman and varied fields like trading, real estate, hospitality and printing. ASPC’s Board has lauded his dynamic and successful leadership and wishes him well in his planned retirement.
In the ASPC’s Board meeting held on February 17, Abdullah Al Rawahi, a highly qualified engineer from Sultan Qaboos University with 28 years of experience in power and desalination plants in Oman, has been appointed as the new CEO.
Abdullah has worked at various managerial positions, including that of CEO of Al Kamil Power Company, in different companies in the field of Power Generation and Water Desalination. He brings to ASPC his vast experience in the management of power and desalination plants. The Board of ASPC wishes Abdullah all the success to lead the company to a higher level.
