Recipe of the week: Green Tea Custard

Ingredients

3 tsp green tea
½ cup water
¼ cup gelatin
2 cups milk
4 eggs
½ cup sugar
¼ cup whipped cream

Preparation

In half cup of boiling water, add green tea leaves. Switch off the flame and let the tea steep for 3 mins Strain the mixture. Once cool, dissolve gelatin in this mix.
Boil milk and keep aside.
Beat together egg and sugar till the colour of the mixture changes from yellow to white.
Add the hot milk to the egg and sugar mixture.
Stirring continuously, cook for 3-4 minutes till custard is ready.
Remove from heat and add the gelatin and tea extract and mix well. Strain the custard to avoid any lumps.
Cool the custard .Garnish with whipped cream before serving.
