CMA to host seminar on capital market and financing options

Muscat: The Capital Market Authority will organise a seminar on the capital market and its financing options under the theme 'The  Capital Market and its Financing Options to Enhance the Investment Activities'  on Tuesday, in collaboration with the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones.

The seminar, which comes as part of the awareness activities of the CMA, targets the chairpersons of boards of directors and management of the companies operating at Sohar Free Zone and will be held at the administrative offices of Port Sohar.

Speakers from the Capital Market Authority, Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX), Muscat Clearing Depository Company (MCD) and Uphar Capital will take part in the seminar about the financing instruments available in the capital market in addition to highlighting the importance of the capital market in the economic growth of the companies as well as the role of MCD and its pivotal role in the capital market sector.

The seminar will emphasize the roles of the capital market in achieving financial sustainability for the companies, the financing products available in the capital market and their use in the financial support of the companies and the advantage of financing by long-term debt instruments.

The CMA will organise this year series of seminars for the companies operating in the free zones in the various wilayats of the Sultanate to introduce the capital market and its financing instruments in line with the Oman Vision 2040.
