Schools closed due to heavy rains

All private and government schools in Oman to remain closed today, Sunday, April 14, the Ministry of Education has announced.
This decision, however, does not apply to schools in the Governorates of Dhofar and Al Wusta.
The decision was made after warnings were issued on Saturday by the Public Authority Civil Aviation that the weather may take a turn for the worse in the next 24 hours.
According to the ministry, this decision was made to ensure that all necessary precautions are made to ensure the safety of all schools and academic staff.
