Ministry of Education approves education system for second semester

Muscat: The Ministry of Education issued a statement regarding the operation of public and private schools for the second semester in the academic year 2022/2021.

Based on the statement issued on February 9, 2022 by the Supreme Committee in charge of dealing with the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) regarding the Ministry’s determination of the determinants of workflow in education for the second semester of the academic year 2022/2021, the following was decided:

A-  Approval of the operation of grades (1-4) in the blended education system (week by week), with the exception of low-density schools with no more than 20 students per class and managed by the direct education system 100 per cent while adhering to the precautionary health measures.  

B - Approval of the operation of schools for grades (5-11) with the direct education system, with the exception of classrooms of schools with more than 30 students per semester, which are run by the blended education system (week after week), while adhering to the precautionary health measures.  

C.  The twelfth grade operates in a 100% direct education system, with adherence to precautionary health measures.  

D. The hours of early education students and private schools are in accordance with the guide (mechanisms for operating private and international schools in the Sultanate of Oman for the academic year 2022/2021) approved by Ministerial Resolution (192/2021) regarding the adoption of the rules and principles of the general framework.
