SQU extends distance education period by a week

Muscat: Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) has decided to extend the distance education period for one more week.

"With reference to the university’s statement issued on January 27, 2022, regarding distance education system and in the interest of the safety and protection of all, the administration of Sultan Qaboos University decided to extend the study period with the distance education system for a period of one week for all students in all colleges with the exception of postgraduate students and clinical courses that require direct application in the training places in the College of Nursing and the third stage in the College of Medicine and Health Sciences," SQU said in a statement.

SQU had previously issued a decision to adopt the distance education system for two weeks due to the high numbers of COVID-19 cases in the Sultanate of Oman.
