Muscat: A turtle has been rescued and released from fishing nets that were left at sea, the Environment Authority said in a statement.
"During the field surveys of the Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve, a turtle was rescued and freed from fishing nets that were randomly thrown into the sea. These nets pose a major threat to the life of marine creatures," the authority said in a statement.
Cleanliness of the environment and protection of living organisms is everyone's responsibility.
