Wood waste storage area catches fire

Muscat: A fire has occurred in a landfill site being used to store wood waste, at Raysut in the Wilayat of Salalah, Be’ah said on Sunday.

In an alert, Be’ah said: “A fire has occurred in the tree waste storage area at the old traditional landfill site in Raysut in the Wilayat of Salalah, and it is currently under control. No injuries were recorded.  Work is underway in cooperation with the competent authorities to extinguish the remaining part of the fire as soon as possible.”
