Oman, Hungary discuss ways to boost bilateral relations

Muscat: Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister and Peter Szijjarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Hungary, held a session of political talks here on Wednesday.

The two sides discussed cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and Hungary in various sectors, including trade, energy, tourism, higher education and investment in renewable energy.

They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern.

The session of talks was attended by Khalid Hashil Al Muselhi, Head of the Minister’s Office Department, Tibor Szatmari, Ambassador of Hungary to Oman, and officials from both countries.

During the session, the two sides signed an agreement for the encouragement and protection of mutual investments. The agreement was signed by Sayyid Badr and Peter Szijjarto.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Said Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy, and Tibor Szatmari, Ambassador of Hungary to Oman.
