Chance of rain as clouds form over parts of Oman

Muscat: Some parts of the Sultanate of Oman might see some rain over the next few days, according to the government’s weather men.
“Scattered rainfall and thunderstorms may occur” around and off the coast of Dhofar, the statement said. People in Ibra and Yanqul had a brief respite from the searing heat, after rainfall was reported in both the regions this afternoon.
The ROP tweeted a photo of the rain in Ibra, warning residents in the province to drive carefully: “It is 14:17 (2:20pm), and it is raining in the province of Ibra. Please exercise more caution while driving.
Drive carefully!” Rains are also expected in Dhofar region.
